- Don SA great couple of hours spent with ' Gecko' and old mate listening to tales, discussing their collection of local items from times gone by, and, of course, panning for gold. Highly recommended if you have time to spare while in the Charters Towers area.
- Alana RWe loved it! We just stopped in on a whim. Allan was informative and engaging and we learnt a lot about the mining history of the area. The kids had a blast panning for gold. Definitely an experience we will remember. Felt like stepping back in time.
- Melanie LThe miners cottage was an incredible experience. Panning for gold, all found our fair share of gold an the owner Alan is a great character, very friendly an hospitable.
